DISCRIPTION
Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid (EFA) that is found in the diet from sources of oily fish such as salmon, mackerel and sardines. Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid because it cannot be synthesised by the body and must be consumed through the diet.

The essential fatty acids commonly found in fish are made up of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) which are both long chain fatty acids. When combined, EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. DHA also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and vision. These beneficial effects are obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of EPA and DHA. Omega 3 softgels provide 360mg of EPA and 240mg of DHA per 2 softgels.

Omega 3 softgels are recommended for anyone who wants to increase their daily intake of omega 3, and are particularly ideal for anyone who lacks fish in their diet.
