Before the protein can be absorbed from food or a shake, the body has to break it down into the individual amino acids. This digestion process can take several hours until the body has completely broken down and absorbed the amino acids from the dietary protein. In order to speed up the absorption process, there are also so-called hydrolysates - partially broken down proteins that are absorbed much faster by the body. ProFuel Complete EAA, however, contains freely available amino acids, which no longer need to be broken down but can be absorbed directly.
