Description Omius headband with 20 cooling elements
Experience a revolutionary way of cooling with the Omius headband. The silicone grid holds the interchangeable cooling elements securely in place and allows direct skin contact for maximum effectiveness. The cooling parts, made of highly thermally conductive graphite and coated with a special hydrophilic layer, offer a five-fold increase in evaporation surface. Simply moisten, put on and immediately enjoy the cooling effect - without the need for a freezer.
The headband comes with a 20-pack of new and improved cooling parts.
The Omius cooling formula
The Omius headband, visor and caps are uniquely designed with a silicone grid to hold the Omius cooling parts in place. The grid keeps the parts in place and in direct contact with the skin. The cooling parts are interchangeable and can be easily transferred from one product to another. The products are made from the highest quality elasticated material for an ergonomic and comfortable fit. The elasticated material of the headband and cap fits most head sizes. The visor is adjustable.
FAQ about the Omius headband with 20 cooling elements
How does the technology work?
When water or sweat evaporates on the surface of the skin, it absorbs heat and cools the body. The enhanced cooling effect of Omius technology is created by water being absorbed into the cooling elements, where it has 5 times more surface area to evaporate. The conversion of water from a liquid to a gas on the surface of the graphite draws heat from the inside of the cooling parts, which come into contact with the skin and thus cool the skin. As the cooling effect is solely due to the evaporation of the water, it is maintained indefinitely as long as the cooling parts are moist and air flows through them.
What material are the cooling parts made of?
The cooling elements are made of highly thermally conductive graphite with a hydrophilic coating that optimises the absorption and evaporation of the water that provides the cooling effect.
Do I have to put the cooling parts in the freezer compartment?
NO! The only requirement for increased cooling is that the cooling elements are wet during use, in direct contact with the skin and uncovered so that air can flow over them and increase evaporation.
How long does the technology cool during use?
The cooling elements cool indefinitely as long as they are wet, in direct contact with the skin and uncovered so that air can flow past them.
